Mauricio Macri is the President of the Argentine Nation since the last elections held in 2015.
Macri was born in Tandil, Buenos Aires, on February 8, 1954. He is married to Juliana Awada, with whom he has three daughters and one son. He studied civil engineering at the Catholic University of Argentina. He also has studies in economics and finance.
Before becoming a politician, he worked in several companies, including Grupo Macri, a business group founded by his father.
In 2001 he created the Creer y Crecer Foundation, which is dedicated to developing public policies in order to give solutions for citizens’ problems. When the political party “Compromiso para el cambio” is created, Macri es elected president of it.
In 2015 he won the elections in the second round with 51.34% of the votes and was elected President of Argentina.
